The MA Directing Programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop the necessary skills and techniques for careers in a fast-evolving media landscape. The MA Producing Programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop the necessary skills to become the next generation of entrepreneurs in the screen business world. The programme aims to provide insight into, and mastery of, creative development, physical production and business and finance in relation to the creative screen industries. Specific topics will range from story craft and script analysis to budgeting and scheduling, from marketing and distribution to finance strategies and business leadership principles.
The MA Cinematography Programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop the necessary skills and techniques to work professionally within the camera department, employ a range of technical and creative techniques to maximise visual storytelling, and explore a range of film formats and processes.
The MA Screenwriting Programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop the necessary screenwriting principles, including genre theory, audience and markets, classical and alternative narrative storytelling, pitching and screenplay analysis. Students will hone professional skills and develop their creative voice towards a final original piece of writing for the large or small screen. In addition to the specialist modules in screenwriting, students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with students from the other programmes, at key points during the year.
The MA Post Production Programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop the core creative skills in the areas of editing, visual effects, colour grading, and audio post production. Students will also develop the technical skills enabling them to work effectively, optimising their productivity and ensuring the quality of final deliverables to a variety of contemporary international broadcast standards.
