Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA) is a dedicated arts and performance school in the centre of Cambridge, offering Postgraduate, Undergraduate, Foundation & Diploma courses.
CSVPA provides a unique and highly personalised method of learning, creating an environment in which to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals.
As a student you will be actively supported through a hands-on-approach, extensive contact time with your lecturers and all the equipment, materials, space and time you need to discover and develop your own individual voice and style as a creative artist. Their goal is to provide you with the best possible environment in which to meet your full potential.
Over the last 30 years CSVPA have increased their portfolio to include Degrees and a Master's and established links with leading institutions, including University of the Arts London Awarding Body and Trinity College London as well as Hearst Magazine, publishers of ELLE, ELLE Decoration, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire and Cosmopolitan. They have given students the skills and confidence necessary to progress into some of the most prestigious and competitive drama schools, music conservatoires and art and design schools in the world.
Courses:
CSVPA have 6 different art and design specialist disciplines - 3D design, animation & film, architecture & interior design, fashion design, fashion communication and graphics and illustration. These give you the freedom to experiment providing a highly personable method of learning that nurtures, educates, and encourages you.
A fun and fast dance training programme covering all aspects of contemporary dance for students intent on going to university to pursue a career as a professional dance, choreographer or dance instructor.
Have you always been interested in how products are designed or do you like playing with space and moving things around to improve your environment? If your passion lies in 3D Design this course will put you on the right path to your chosen career.
A three-term intensive actor training programme designed for students intent on pursuing a career in the performing arts.
If your dream of a career in the fashion industry and want to learn how to design and make your own garments, CSVPA can help you become the fashion designer you want to be.
Graphics & Illustration Foundation
Are you interested in magazines, the world of advertising or publishing? Do you want to be involved with the website and online design? Graphics and Illustration are the two key areas in this world. If you want to learn in a creative environment that encourages artistic exploration, then this course is perfect for you.
The programme will enable you to refine your skills (composition, theory, performance and recording) and broaden your musical knowledge and understanding. It is designed to give you unrivalled breadth of content and flexibility, allowing you to focus on particular areas of passion as well as developing your skills and creating well-rounded, confident musicians.
CSVPA have two music streams:
Performance: aimed at the more classically trained musician. You will work towards entry into university, conservatoire or music college.
Technology: aimed at the more pop-based contemporary musician who has had some experience with music technology. Students will work towards entry into music tech colleges and pop music courses.
A three-term intensive Musical Theatre & Dance training programme designed for students intent on pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Led by award-winning designer Holly Fulton, this course helps students cultivate a distinctive design identity and to develop creative and practical fashion skills.
BA (Hons) Graphics & Illustration
By fostering the development of great ideas and challenging existing thinking in the subject, you will be equipped with the tools to help define your future and find an individual voice within the field of visual communication.
You will be encouraged to explore innovative and experimental methods of defining your practice as a credible designer or illustrator. Teaching comprises hands-on workshops and talks by industry professionals. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your work at the Cambridge Art & Design Exhibition and in the London Graduate Show.
Fashion Branding & Creative Communication
The ability to style and promote fashion brands, design campaigns and publications and market fashion events creatively and effectively, form the basis of the Fashion Branding and Creative Communication course at CSVPA.
With extensive connections to industry, easy access to London and more tutor time than most fashion courses, we will help you develop to your maximum creative potential and enable you to build brand through creative communication. The course will engage students with a wide variety of subject areas from styling, photography, art direction and trend prediction to branding, PR and fashion marketing. This leads to in-depth exploration of one of these subjects in the final year.
Graduate Diploma in Art and Design
The course is also suitable for anyone wishing to develop new skills; establish fresh perspectives for understanding and producing contemporary Art & Design practice; or for anyone desiring to overhaul an existing creative portfolio, with a view to further study at Master’s level, or with a view to investing in their professional development.
UK & EU Fees:
Termly courses from £20,985 annually. All programmes are subject to a £300 registration fee.
BA's at £9,250 per year and MA's at £14,985.
International Fees:
Termly courses from £30,990 annually. All programmes are subject to a £300 registration fee.
BA's at £17,490 per year and MA's at £22,995.
